If you were only connected to me here, and figured from my lack of posts that I'd given up this site, the fact is that I just never managed to leave LJ when everyone else did, and I got tired of cross-posting from there to here when no one was commenting on my posts in either place anyhow ... but I still come here to read friends' journals.

Teaching from home has been a great challenge, but at least I am still employed. My son (the child in the photo!) went off to college in August (he's living there, but studying virtually), so I'm on my own for the first time in more than 30 years. It's not as bad as it could be, but I look forward to his visits!
